Busy packing for our big flight to California tomorrow

We went on a hike to Stoney Creek and then we spotted a swimming hole. A couple of people came along wearing bathing suits and they said it was the best spot for swimming. One guy showed us the swing and swung off. Daddy swung off the swing a few times, once even making a cannonball!! Mommy finally swung off too. It took her longer, about 60 seconds! The water was really cold but it was fun.
We took a train to Kuranda. It was an old train. Rowan and I really enjoyed the train ride. We watched people make homemade candy and we got 2 free samples. It was very yummy!
When we first walked into Hartley's Crocodile Adventure, we saw Crackers and he repeated what we said. We went to a crocodile farm and we saw all those young crocodiles. They were pretty big but still babies. We got to feed adorable small agile wallabies and kangaroos. They liked eating sweet potato but their favorite was corn!! We then saw an animal that we had never seen before, it was called a quoll and it quite cute! We then fed cassowaries some apple slices and papaya. For one cassowary, there was hidden medicine in her food. So we couldn't mix up the food because we did not want the other cassowary to eat the medicine. During the snake show there was a little boy going around holding a Betty blue-tongued lizard for people to pat. At the end of the snake show, I was lucky because I got to hold the Betty blue-tongued lizard and he felt smooth.
We were in a big fake snake but the one I am holding is a real one, the same kind that was on the trail when we hiked up Mt. Warning!! It is a carpet python!! Emily the sheep dog and Jim the sheep shearer were good in the Australia show. The next picture is of an eagle. As you can see, the mother kangaroo is lying down and you can see one leg and the tail of her Joey (baby) sticking out of her pouch! It was so funny! We just love the big red kangaroo in the next picture, he weighed almost as much as daddy!!
There was a very interesting animal rescue hospital that we visited. The nice vet showed us the x-ray of an injured possum that she was treating!! There was a very cool aboriginal show where we saw them dancing and singing. They also made fire by using 2 sticks, no lighter or matches!! One of the performers played the Didgeridoo which is a traditional aboriginal musical instrument. My dad also danced in the show!! You can check out my parents' part of this blog to see the videos. Rowan and I really liked swimming in the creek near the ocean. The creek filed up with ocean water and sometimes the current was so strong we had to be careful not to be pulled out into the ocean!! People used to mine in this creek and I was really lucky to find a couple of the same minerals!!
Our family went up a big mountain called Mt. Warning and it took 2 hours to go up. It got really crazy going up near the top it was like rock climbing. There was a chain to hold onto and it was a real challenge going down!!! We saw 2 snakes on the trail!! One small one and one very big carpet python!! We went to Underwater World and we saw the otters. There were 3 of them and they were really cute and funny. As you can see in the third picture we are in shark jaws!!
We went to see a really really cool show. They could stand on 1 arm flipper. They were really cool and cute. We also went to a market on Saturday. You can see in the 6th,7th and 8th picture, a statue that turned out to be a real person. Sorry, we had a "programming malfunction" and have reversed the order of the latest two posts. Please scroll down one entry to see my first entry in Tewantin. :) I has fun boogie boarding at Flynn beach and Rainbow beach. We went to a country fair in Wauchope, it was really really fun feeding the calves milk from a bottle and it was cute cause they both sucked on my finger. It was really fun holding the bunny, you don't see the pictures of me holding the chicks and the kittens but I really liked holding the chicks, they were so cute and almost always quiet. My favorite kitten would be the more laid back one, he was so cute and fun to hold. I also had fun going on the bumper cars with Rowan and we ate Fairy Floss (cotton candy).
