We arrived in Dunedin on Monday and got to our house in the St. Kilda section of the city in the early afternoon. The house is a five-minute walk to the beach and we have all had a blast walking, running, and playing on it all week. On Tuesday, Judy discovered a hot salt-water pool in the neighbouring town of St. Clair. We went there in the afternoon and were amazed at the beauty of the location - literally right on the rocks of the cove so close to the water that the waves sometimes broke over the wall. Later that day, we went into the downtown area of Dunedin and visited the historic train station.
The city itself is located in a physically beautiful setting, situated on a natural harbour and built across several hills - great for running! It is known as a university town and Judy & I have both noticed that it seems to have a great vibe about it.
